It was our first day in Northern Macedonia. Greeted by our gracious hosts, with love and warmth. A lovely day to share their beautiful vineyard with me and my family. Of course I brought my camera, as did my artist friend (she inspired and encouraged me to pursue my love of photography), as I did not know what to expect.
This is what awaited me. Hidden in the tall grassy landscape, my first occasion of a meet and greet moment with a red poppy. They are known as common poppy, corn poppy, corn rose, field poppy and Flanders poppy. The flower originally comes from the Papaveraecae family.
This beauty, was just one of many I would encounter along this country road to our destination. Each having their own look. I look forward to sharing more of my scenic views along the way.

WOW, Jerry aren't you sweet to stop by to visit my recent posts of the things that delight me. This was a special moment, as I was with my fave person, Eva Maria Nova, in Northern Macedonia. Who would have thought that I could come across such beauty, while visiting the Stip, landscape. A day that I will never forget, as it will never happen again. So, I cherish this moment.
